Proven, Principled & Progressive!
It has been my distinct privilege to serve as the Magistrate of District No. 1 in Shelby County since my initial election in 2018 and taking the oath of office in January 2019. I am now running for re-election in 2022 for another four-year term beginning in January 2023.
Public service has long been important to me. I served on the City Council in the 1980s, I have been continually active in the Kiwanis Club of Shelbyville for many years and work in other civic-minded organizations and events. Shelbyville and Shelby County have been exceptionally good to me through the years, and I am proud to have this opportunity to give back to our community and to honor those who have poured their lives into making our District the great home that it is today. As we look to the future, it is my desire to continue the good work that has been started and to make it as good or better for those who come after me.
I look forward to getting around to see every household in the coming months in anticipation of the General Election in the fall. Your concerns remain my concerns. I have always tried to be responsive and to help you find the right avenue for your issue even when it was outside the realm of Fiscal Court. Your comments, questions and thoughts are always welcome. Your feedback and your support make me a better Magistrate for you!
